When it comes to improving your skin’s tone, texture, and overall glow, both Moxi and Halo laser treatments are excellent options. But how do you know which one is the right fit for you?

Start by thinking about your goals. What skin issues are you hoping to improve? Different lasers treat different concerns, so knowing your main focus will help steer you in the right direction.
Ask yourself:
Are you hoping to soften fine lines or smooth texture?
Do you want to fade stubborn melasma or sun spots?
Are you interested in preventing signs of aging before they start?
Let’s take a closer look at what each treatment offers:
Moxi: Gentle Yet Powerful for Pigment
If pigmentation is your main concern—like melasma, sun spots, or an uneven skin tone—Moxi is a great choice. It’s especially ideal for targeting all things brown on the skin, and it’s safe for every skin type (something not all lasers can promise!).
A Moxi session is quick, usually around 15 minutes. You’ll feel some heat, like a sunburn, for about an hour afterward. The aftercare is easy: just stick to gentle products (think Cetaphil or CeraVe) for about a week.
Expect your skin to look red for a day or two, and then around 24 hours post-treatment, you’ll start to see small dark speckles—like pepper or coffee grounds—form on the treated areas. Your skin might feel rough, like sandpaper, but those speckles will start to slough off in the shower by day five.
Depending on the amount of sun damage or pigmentation, you may need a few sessions. If you’re looking for a no-fuss treatment to even out skin tone and improve minor texture issues, Moxi is a fantastic option.
Halo: A Deeper Dive Into Skin Rejuvenation
Halo is in a league of its own. It uses two wavelengths of light at the same time—most lasers can only handle one. That means you get the benefit of surface improvement and deeper rejuvenation in one treatment.
It’s great for tackling:
Sun damage
Broken capillaries
Fine lines and wrinkles
Acne scarring
Overall skin dullness
Because Halo treats more deeply, the downtime is a bit longer. Expect some swelling and redness for a few days. Most patients take 3–5 days off from major social events. You’ll feel fine physically, but your skin might look a little rough while it heals.
Just like with Moxi, you’ll see those brown speckles start to rise to the surface after a day or two. They’ll flake off gradually over a week, revealing fresher, smoother skin beneath.
We’ll send you home with everything you need to take care of your skin during recovery—it's low-maintenance, even if the results are dramatic.
What Else Should You Know about Moxi and Halo?
Avoid direct sun for two weeks before and after any laser treatment.
Skip intense workouts while your skin heals (sweat can irritate it).
Be patient—especially with Halo. You’ll see some improvements right away, but the full benefits—like smoother texture and improved collagen—will continue to develop over the next 6 to 9 months.
Whether you’re aiming to correct damage or take a preventative approach to aging, both Moxi and Halo offer powerful, safe ways to boost your skin’s health and radiance.
Still unsure? We’re here to help! Schedule a complimentary consultation and we’ll guide you toward the treatment that best fits your goals. With Moxi or Halo, you’ll be glowing—with no filter required.
