How Does HALO® laser Work?
The Halo laser is a hybrid fractional laser that combines two types of laser technologies: ablative and non-ablative.
Ablative Fractional Laser: The ablative component of the Halo laser removes thin layers of the skin using laser energy. This process is known as ablation and helps to resurface the skin by targeting and vaporizing damaged skin cells. The laser creates microscopic channels or columns in the skin while leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected.
Non-Ablative Fractional Laser: The non-ablative component of the Halo laser delivers laser energy deep into the skin without removing the outer layers. This stimulates the production of collagen, a protein that provides structure and elasticity to the skin. Collagen production helps improve the overall texture, tone, and firmness of the skin.
The combination of ablative and non-ablative lasers allows the Halo laser to treat both the superficial and deeper layers of the skin simultaneously. This results in more comprehensive skin rejuvenation, addressing a range of concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, uneven skin tone, and texture irregularities.
